Most people think that Greek Week is just a big party. The students see all the fun stuff that goes on during Greek week like the sports tournaments, lip sync and djs, but in reality there is a lot more that goes into Greek week than meets the eye.
Countless hours go in to preparing for Greek Week. We start organizing for Greek Week during winter break. We have to plan outfits for each day, practice for sports so that we are competitive, collect canned goods, recycle, collect change, paint back drops for lip sync, and practice cheers. All of the effort we put in to this event goes towards our school's philanthropy, which is Camp Titan.
In June every year, Cal State Fullerton has a week long program, Camp Titan. This program is offered to underprivileged children where they can take part in activities and make friends. Greek Week helps fund this program, this year raising over $40,000.
